Physiotherapy Assistant with Sports
Duration: 1 year
This course aims to provide learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to work in the area of sports injuries and their treatments.
Physiotherapy Assistants provide a valuable service to the Sports Industry, specialising in the prevention and management of soft tissue injuries and manual massage. Graduates can secure employment with Sports Clubs, Leisure Centres, Sports Injury Clinics or with amateur and professional sporting bodies

- Physiotherapy Assistant Theory
- Physiotherapy Assistant Skills
Body Massage and Figure Analysis
Exercise and Fitness
Sports and Recreation Studies
Sports Anatomy and Physiology
Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied. Exemptions may be made for mature students. Applicants will be interviewed.
QQI Level 5 Certificate in Sports, Recreation and Exercise (5M5146)
National Certificate in Exercise and Fitness(optional) awarded by University of Limerick
